Maya Sandu went to Norway at the head of the Moldovan government delegation

The President of Moldova and the heads of several ministries are paying a visit to Norway.

Moldovan President Maia Sandu went on a two-day visit to Norway on Monday. The Moldovan delegation, headed by the head of state, also included Foreign Minister Mikhail Popshoy, Energy Minister Viktor Parlikov and Defense Minister Anatoly Nosaty.
The official ceremony in honor of the start of the visit will be held in Oslo, where the President of Moldova will meet with representatives of the royal family of Norway at their residence, Radio Moldova reports. After that, a wreath-laying ceremony will be held at the national monument at Akershus Fortress.
Later, the Moldovan leader will hold a conversation with Chairman of the Storting (Norwegian Parliament) Masoud Garakhani and members of the parliamentary Committee on Foreign Affairs and Defense.
In the evening, a state banquet in honor of President Maya Sandu will be held at the Royal Palace in Oslo, at which King Harald will deliver a speech.
On Tuesday, May 7, the program of the Moldovan president’s visit to Norway includes several events, including a meeting with Prime Minister of Starna Jonas Gar Stere.
The Moldovan delegation will take part in a round table meeting at the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation, where Maya Sandu and the energy ministers of the two countries Terje Aasland and Victor Parlikov will speak.
Sandu will also visit the Norwegian Institute of Foreign Affairs and the University of Oslo, where he will deliver a lecture on the situation in Moldova and the region entitled “In the shadow of War: Moldova and what is at stake for European security.”
This is the first visit of President Maya Sandu to Norway, it took place at the invitation of King Harald of Norway and Queen Sonja.
