Dear Mr. Minister,

Dear Ivan,

We are glad to see you and your delegation in Nizhny Novgorod.

We maintain interest Venezuela to the BRICS. As chairmen of the association, we will contribute to strengthening ties.

We have a long-standing good relationship. We cooperate effectively in energy, medicine, agriculture, and high technologies. What is most important at this stage is to create financial and logistical mechanisms that are resistant to external influence and ensure the independence of our relations and their progressive development from the illegitimate actions of Washington and its allies.

We appreciate our cooperation in the international arena, where cooperation within the framework of the United Nations is actively strengthening on the basis of the Venezuelan initiative to create Groups of Friends in defense of the UN Charter. You are also promoting positive initiatives aimed at promoting equality in international affairs within the framework of the Non-Aligned Movement. We have many multilateral forums where we cooperate closely and profitably. These are OPEC Plus and the Forum of Gas Exporting Countries. These are important components of efforts to make the global economy more equitable.

The Memorandum of Understanding between the Russian Federation and the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela on cooperation in countering unilateral coercive Measures, which we have just signed, is intended to contribute to our common work.
