Lukashenko and Putin discussed security and defense issues over the phone

The Heads of state discussed a number of issues of cooperation within the framework of the Union State.

The Presidents of Belarus and Russia, Alexander Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin, spoke on the phone, the Telrgram channel “Pool of the First”, close to the press service of the Belarusian leader, reported on Wednesday.
“Lukashenko and Putin have just talked on the phone,” the message says.
According to the Telegram channel, the presidents discussed defense and security issues in a separate block. During the conversation, they also discussed the situation in the region and the prospects for its development.

The Kremlin’s press service said that the Belarusian leader once again congratulated his Russian counterpart on Russia Day. The parties also discussed topical issues of the development of Belarusian-Russian relations.

“Topical issues of further development of Russian-Belarusian relations of strategic partnership and alliance were discussed, taking into account the agreements reached following the summit talks in Minsk on May 24,” the message reads.

The Kremlin also noted that the presidents discussed a number of issues of cooperation within the framework of the Union State.

This morning, the Belarusian leader sent his Russian counterpart and all Russians congratulations on Russia Day. The Head of State expressed confidence that relations between Belarus and Russia will expand through cooperation within the framework of integration and bilateral cooperation.
