A ship from China has delivered car parts, household appliances and consumer goods, covering a distance of 6,600 nautical miles.
The ship will leave for China in a few days, but with products from Arkhangelsk exporters: paper, cardboard, pulp and lumber.
The ship delivered almost 500 containers to Arkhangelsk. “And in two weeks we expect the arrival of two more ships, on board of which there will be about 700-800 containers. The most important thing is that we are now connected by seamless logistics with the center of the country: containers are transported from the Moscow region to Arkhangelsk, from where they will go to China along with the products of the timber industry enterprises of the region,” the ministry said The Government of the Arkhangelsk region.
The new route was officially launched on July 5. It is designed to accelerate and optimize cargo transportation between Russia and China. The Arctic Express No. 1 connected the main ports of China Shanghai and Ningbo with Arkhangelsk via the Northern Sea Route.
