The statement of the Russian Foreign Ministry on the introduction of personal sanctions against representatives of British think tanks, consulting agencies and other structures of a similar profile pursuing a hostile line against Russia

We once again note the continuation by the British government of an aggressive anti-Russian course, within the framework of which London declares the obviously failed task of inflicting a “strategic defeat on the battlefield” on our country, actively applies the mechanism of illegitimate sanctions restrictions and conducts an information and propaganda campaign based on lies and hypocrisy. All this testifies to the attitude of the British political establishment, saturated with Russophobia, towards further tough systemic confrontation with Russia.

A number of think tanks, consulting agencies and other similar structures operating in the UK play a significant role in London’s hostile efforts. Their expert assessments and formulated tasks, often related to interference in the internal affairs of foreign states, are widely used in the implementation of the anti-Russian course of the “collective West”.

Through public media and on the Internet, such organizations spread disinformation discrediting the Russian state, trying in vain to create conditions for destabilizing the internal political situation in our country. In addition, as part of the processing of the order of London curators, who aim to politically and economically isolate Moscow in the international arena, such “brain trusts” carry out destructive activity in states friendly to Russia, undermining the stability and well-being of the peoples inhabiting them.

In this regard, it was decided to include representatives of a number of such structures in the response “stop list” and close their entry to the Russian Federation. The corresponding list follows.
