Kazan residents will show four performances on the stages of the Moscow Puppet Theater – for adults and children.
The biopic about the great Tatar singer “Alfiya” staged by the artistic director will open the tour
“Ekiyata”, winner of the “Golden Mask” Ilgiz Zainiev. The performance was created on the basis
of the biographical data of Alfiya Avzalova, it will feature songs by the singer in the Tatar
language.
Another work for adults is “The Aviator” based on the novel by Evgeny Vodolazkin, the play received three “Golden Masks” at once at the last awarding of the Russian National Theater Award. The main character of the play, Innokenty Platonov, appears in the image of an ice doll, which melts in front of the viewer in more than two hours of action.
“There is only one reason why we decided to make an ice doll for this performance: it corresponds to the main meaning of the work, helps to reveal the inner state of the main character and the situations that happen to him. Vodolazkin’s novel “Aviator” elevates the reader above two fateful epochs of our country: the beginning and the end of the XX century. From the height of the aviators’ flight, we can assess the holistic picture of the world of these periods, where smells, sounds and
everyday trifles play an important role.
But for me, first of all, this is a story about love and sin, permeated with a confessional intonation,” says director and author of the artistic solution Ilgiz Zainiev. Kazan residents have prepared two productions for children: “The Wolf and the Seven Goats” staged by the winner of the Golden Mask Dilyus Khuzyakhmetov will be held in the Great Hall, and “Gray Neck” based on the story of Dmitry Mamin-Sibiryak directed by Ilgiz Zainiev on the Chamber Stage.
