The State flag of the Republic of Uzbekistan, along with the state emblem and anthem, is the official state symbol and the symbol of the sovereignty of the country.
The flag was approved on November 18, 1991, at the eighth session of the Supreme Soviet of the Republic of Uzbekistan, two months after the proclamation of independence.
