Monitoring of customs infrastructure of modernized checkpoints in Kyrgyzstan

Experts of the Eurasian Economic Commission and authorized representatives of the EEU states, headed by Director of the Customs Infrastructure Department of the Commission Daniyar Imanaliev, with the participation of representatives of the State Customs Service under the Ministry of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic and the State Enterprise “National Company “Kyrgyz Temir Jolu” from November 14 to 18 carried out monitoring of arrangement and material and technical equipment of elements of customs infrastructure of the Kyrgyz Republic checkpoints on the customs border.

Monitoring participants were familiarized with modernization of road checkpoints Irkeshtam, Dostuk, Kyzyl-Kiya and railway checkpoints Kara-Suu, Jalal-Abad, Shamaldy-Say, Kyzyl-Kiya, their re-equipping with necessary equipment, technical means and customs control systems.

According to the results of the monitoring, it was concluded that the measures provided for in the framework of the Kyrgyz Republic accession to the EAEU in terms of equipping and material and technical equipment of elements of the customs infrastructure of these checkpoints have been implemented in full. A high level of equipment at the checkpoints and training of Kyrgyz customs officials in the operation and application of technical means of customs control was noted.

“The modernized checkpoints we visited fully meet the customs requirements of the Union,” Daniyar Imanaliev emphasized. – The Commission will inform the governments of the member states about the results of monitoring. In 2023, together with authorized representatives of our countries, we plan to monitor the remaining checkpoints of the Kyrgyz Republic to ensure the completion of all planned activities to modernize the customs infrastructure.
