“Great art is nearby. Marc Chagall”

“Exhibition halls of Moscow” presents the project “Great Art nearby”. It opened for the 10th anniversary of the complex, which includes 20 Moscow museums. The project begins with the exhibition of Marc Chagall in the Belyaevo Gallery. Visitors will see the works of the artist himself, as well as works by Henri Matisse, Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dali and other authors. The paintings were presented specially for the exhibition by Russian collectors.

“Dreams of Siberia”

October 28, 2022 — January 30, 2023

To the 130th anniversary of the Trans-Siberian Railway The State Historical Museum will open the exhibition “Dreams of Siberia”. The aim of the project is to introduce the guests of the museum to the culture of the regions through which this railway passes. The exhibition is dedicated to the history of Siberia and the Far East from antiquity to the present day. Visitors will see archaeological finds from different eras — weapons, ceramics, jewelry, as well as works by contemporary Russian artists. During the exhibition, the museum will host lectures on history, anthropology, and archaeology.

“Paradoxes of evolution”

November 1 — December 25

The project “Paradoxes of Evolution” in the Darwin Museum is dedicated to unusual phenomena that occurred in the process of evolution. Items from the museum’s collection — stuffed animals, old books and paintings — are side by side with the works of contemporary artists at the exhibition. The authors created them specifically for the Darwin Museum. 42 artists took part in the project, including Oleg Kulik, Lena Buzuyeva, Irina Gulyakina, Alice Traum, Katarina Love.

“Moscow Korans”

November 10, 2022 — January 15, 2023

The State Museum of Oriental Art presents the exhibition “Moscow Korans”. Visitors will see 40 rare books of the X–XIX centuries, learn about the origin of Muslim manuscripts, their history and meaning. The exhibition presents Korans from the collections of the State Museum of the East, the Marjani Foundation, the Russian State Library, the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the All-Russian State Library of Foreign Literature.

“Igor Grabar. To the 150th anniversary of his birth”

November 18, 2022 — February 26, 2023

On the 150th anniversary of the birth of the artist, restorer and art critic Igor Grabar in His personal exhibition is being opened at the Tretyakov Gallery. The exhibition presents pre-revolutionary and Soviet works of the master, as well as paintings by his contemporaries: Mikhail Larionov, Natalia Goncharova, Ilya Mashkov. Visitors will learn how Grabar became a trustee and then director of the Tretyakov Gallery, which exhibits appeared in the museum’s collection in the 1920s, how the artist restored and preserved art objects.
