Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova held a meeting at which they discussed the implementation of the national project “Demography” and its constituent federal projects. The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Labor, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Sports, as well as all subjects of the Russian Federation.
As Tatiana Golikova noted, as part of the implementation of the national project, 1,641 kindergartens were put into operation, which made it possible to create more than 238 thousand places, of which this year – 28 kindergartens for 5,316 places. More than 373 thousand families received certificates for maternity capital in the first nine months of this year.
“In accordance with the instruction of the President of Russia, from September 1, 2023, the system of long-term care for elderly and disabled citizens is being implemented in all regions. If at the start of the pilot project in 2018 6 regions took part in it, in 2022 – 34, now the number of participants has increased to 89. To date, over 147 thousand people have already received assistance. We plan that by the end of the year, at least 170 thousand of our citizens will be covered by SDU services,” the Deputy Prime Minister said.
Since the beginning of the implementation of the national project, 43 boarding schools of a new type have been put into operation, including 4 in 2023. In total, 13 more such social institutions will come into operation by the end of the year. The conditions in them are as close to home as possible and fully meet the needs of the elderly. In addition, this year, as part of improving the quality and accessibility of medical care for older people, 150.7 thousand people received assistance in gerontological beds.
Measures to modernize employment centers continue to be implemented, and staff training is being carried out. As part of the federal project “Sport is the norm of life”, 28 sports facilities were put into operation in 2023.
As a result of the execution of the instructions given at previous meetings, permits were submitted for the commissioning of 4 sports facilities in Yakutia, Bryansk, Irkutsk and Kostroma regions, risks for the construction of a social service facility in the Tula region were removed, regional programs to increase the birth rate were approved in all regions.
In conclusion, Tatyana Golikova instructed the governors to keep under personal control the progress of construction and timely commissioning of all planned facilities.
