The task of scientists is to create a feed that stimulates effective trout suspension without stress for fish.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>PetrSU students and postgraduates collected algae and sediments in their recent expedition to the White Sea in Chupa Bay.<\/p>\n<p>In the future, this biomaterial of marine origin is planned to be used as a valuable feed additive for growing fish on farms. Algae supplements have two important advantages. First of all, they are more environmentally friendly. And also solve the problem associated with modern feeds. It lies in the inability of fish to absorb nutrients as effectively as they do in natural conditions.<\/p>\n<p>According to the associate professor of the Department of Ecology Biology of PetrSU, seaweed is able to accumulate many useful elements that are necessary for the growth and health of trout. In biochemical laboratories, materials with the highest concentration of useful substances are isolated from algae. Then they test and use digital images to evaluate the reaction of the fish body to the drugs.<\/p>\n<p>According to Natalia Sidorova, the scientific director of the project, the task of the study is to find a food that would be universal for the accumulation of fish biomass, and would also make it grow in industrial conditions very efficiently, without stress.
