The event will discuss border security issues, the effects of climate change and strengthening ties in the region.<\/p>\n<p>During the visit, the Secretary General will also meet with Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov and Minister of Environmental Protection of the country Charygeldi Babaniyazov.<\/p>\n<p>Helga Schmid visited Ashgabat in June. Then she presented President Serdar Berdimuhamedov with a certificate of accession of the city of Arkadaga to the project &#8220;Development of sustainable, green, climate-friendly cities with innovative solutions in the OSCE region&#8221; and an EcoPorts certificate awarded to the seaport of Turkmenbashi.<\/p>\n<p>Helga Schmid discussed with the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov the provision of safe energy supplies to world markets and the rational use of water resources.
