For great services in strengthening the institution of the family and raising children, the family Veretinykh from Lipetsk was awarded the Order of Parental Glory. The corresponding decree was signed today by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Larisa Vasilyevna and Sergey Mikhailovich Veretin have been together for 32 years, they have 12 children — 4 sons and 8 daughters. The older ones already have their own families, and the younger ones are still in school.
The head of the family, Sergey Mikhailovich, worked as an electric and gas welder before retiring. He has been repeatedly thanked for his high professionalism, long-term work and conscientious work. Larisa Vasilyevna worked as a pioneer counselor at Lyceum No. 44 in Lipetsk, and after the birth of her daughter, she made a choice in favor of raising children and their versatile development. Now he is engaged in public activities, is a representative of the Assembly of the Parent community of Lipetsk.
The Veretins, Jr., try to help each other and their parents, participate in the social life of their native village of Tractor Builders, do charity work – collect humanitarian aid for our fighters.
The Veretin family adheres to a healthy lifestyle, has repeatedly participated in sports events “Dad, Mom, I am a sports family!”. Among the children there are prize-winners and winners of city, regional and all-Russian competitions.
The family has its own traditions, they gather together at their parents’ for the holidays. And in the summer at the cottage, where they work and communicate over the samovar with their mother’s pastries. The Veretin family is distinguished by their attentive attitude to each other. Children love their family very much, because there is peace of mind, understanding and trusting attitude towards each other.
The Veretin family is the winner of the regional public competition to determine the best family of the year in 2005, in 2008 they won the regional award to parents of large families. And in 2018, the couple were awarded the medal “For love and fidelity”.

There are those among them whose stories cannot but delight. The Veretins’ large family is an example of responsible parenting, amazing hard work, and responsiveness. And we will try to create conditions for us to have more and more such successful, friendly, large families,” said Olga Beloglazova, Deputy Governor of the Lipetsk region.
The Order of Parental Glory is a top—level award, it is received annually by several families who have raised 7 children or more. The award of the order is accompanied by a cash payment of 500 thousand rubles.
