Within the framework of The Year of Family in Russia and the Year of Youth in the region among international students of KemSMU of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, a competition “Family stories that unite” was held. 40 students from India, Pakistan, Ivory Coast, Zambia, Rwanda, South Africa, Iran, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Mongolia told about the traditions, values and legends of their dynasties, about relatives and the role of family in the history of their hometown and country. The participants of the competition prepared five-minute reports in Russian, some supplemented the performance with a video clip “Traditions in my family”. As a result, the jury selected 14 winners who received valuable prizes from the Kuzbass REC.
A music festival was held at the Center of Family Traditions in the Novokuznetsk district, where the family duets of Pavel and Milana Shatilov from the village of Sosnovka, Maxim and Alyona Antonov from the village of Chistogorsky, Alexey and Galina Iskakov from the village of Krasulino and other family creative groups performed. The guests of the Center were presented with an electronic book of family traditions, in which they can get acquainted with the stories of dynasties, large families and other worthy couples of the Novokuznetsk district. The federal traveling exhibition “Rossiyanochka” is also held here. The exhibition features 16 handmade dolls from the regions of Russia, Bashkortostan and Kazakhstan, as well as Gorlovka. National traditions and family traditions of different peoples are conveyed in the costumes and presented subjects.
