“Science is the driver of the development of any state. It is scientists who are the first to accept the technological and other challenges facing the country. “This is an educational process of a new format: conducting lessons, first of all, on the history of Russia, during a tourist trip. In the current academic year, the project is being implemented jointly with the Volgograd Region and Russian Railways in places associated with the Battle of Stalingrad and the people’s militia led by Minin and Pozharsky. It is recommended that the subjects send to the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation a schedule for the introduction of such accommodation facilities for the current year, as well as a list of activities planned for implementation within the framework of a single subsidy directed to the regions for tourism.

The national Tourism and Hospitality Industry project helps us in many ways. Tourism generates demand for the products and services of many other industries – transport, housing, catering, culture, construction. There is a certain magic of numbers, if you look at the data of the Ministry of Economic Development and the Ministry of Sports: by the end of 2023, we exceeded the figures for domestic tourist traffic of the pre–2019 level – this is over 75 million people. This practically coincides with the number of people involved in sports in our country – 77 million people. It is important to continue achieving all the goals set by the President of Russia and ensure the independence and technological sovereignty of our country,” Dmitry Chernyshenko said.

“The Ministry of Economic Development, when developing measures to support the industry, focuses, among other things, on the growing interest of tourists in sports and a healthy lifestyle. Pavel Kalmychek, Director of the Department for the Development of Bilateral Cooperation at the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, told the presentation participants about the obligations that the Cuban side has undertaken to provide a number of benefits and preferential business conditions for Russian companies on its territory, “Cuba is attractive to a Russian investor for many reasons,” said the director of the department. – Convenient logistics, a unique bilateral contractual and legal framework with favorable conditions for conducting projects, a simplified procedure for certification and licensing of Russian products in third countries, and long-term friendly support without regard to sanctions.”

In July this year, Russia and Cuba signed an unprecedented document on terms that Cuba has not provided to any country so far: a framework agreement to encourage the participation of domestic investors in Russian-Cuban projects, which allowed the launch of a new model of cooperation between the two countries in the design, investment, trade and economic fields.
