“The exhibition gives Saratov residents an opportunity to get acquainted not only with culture, but also with the family way of life, household customs and wedding traditions of the peoples of Dagestan. This is the first large-scale exhibition project that we are conducting jointly with the largest museum in Dagestan. I am sure that this creative cooperation will continue,” said Natalia Shchelkanova, Minister of Culture of the Saratov Region.

The exhibition tells about the traditions, life and crafts of the peoples who created a single fusion of the truly phenomenal cultural wealth of Dagestan. In the Year of the Family, objects related to the family way of life of these peoples are of undoubted interest. These include women’s wedding costumes and jewelry, children’s clothing, and household utensils. More than 200 authentic original artifacts are presented.

According to Yevgeny Kazantsev, director of the Saratov Museum of Local Lore, acquaintance with the exhibition of the National Museum of the Republic of Dagestan will be a memorable event for any Saratov family – everyone will find something especially interesting and close in spirit.

“Male visitors will definitely be attracted by samples of weapons and unique objects made of wood and metal. No woman will remain indifferent to the decorations of the goryankas, to the amazingly beautiful and peculiar embroideries, handmade carpets, touching little things for children. All this can be admired and admired together, with the whole family. And it may very well be that visiting the exhibition will encourage someone to create independently, to the desire to create something for the house with their own hands. In addition, many families may have the idea to visit this amazing mountain region,” he added.

The exhibition is complemented by watercolor and paintings by Dagestani artists and a photo exhibition “The beautiful image of a mountain woman”. Dagestani women from different villages in national costumes are depicted at the craft of their ancestors. The outfits unmistakably determined where the woman was from. Each nation has its own craft, which has been preserved thanks to craftsmen who pass it on from generation to generation.

Evgeny Kazantsev noted that in 2024 the museum will continue the theme of family and family traditions: Soon, visitors will be presented with the exhibition project “Family Traditions”, which will be of interest to both young people and the older generation.

Today, the professional holiday is celebrated by over 300 thousand personnel of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia.

This year, four new divisions joined the ranks of the department in the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, Kherson and Zaporizhia regions. Our fighters are helping to rebuild the infrastructure and clear the territories. Their service is fraught with special risk – they work under fire.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia annually rescues more than 200 thousand people, eliminates up to 400 thousand fires and the consequences of about 260 emergencies. At the same time, through joint efforts in the country, it was possible to reduce the number of victims in emergency situations by 26%. All this is due to the efficiency and coherence of the actions of the units.

You have to perform your professional duty in the most difficult conditions, at the limit of your capabilities and always at the risk of your life. Difficulties unite our team and harden our character.

It is impossible to leave in trouble and not lend a helping hand to those who need it. Nationalities, religions and distances are not important for rescuers. The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia has been building its work on these principles for 33 years. Veterans of the service laid the foundation for a noble cause. Their experience is a science for followers.

The memory of our fallen colleagues lives in our hearts. The department honors traditions and is famous for its heroes who are the first to come to the rescue.

On December 14, a photo exhibition depicting iconic places in Russia was presented at the Yangon National Theater. There was also a dialogue project “Family traditions in Russia”, during which the audience was given an overview of the basic vocabulary for naming family members, as well as told about the roles in the Russian family and family pastime.

On December 15, the educational project “The Roots of Pushkin’s Fairy Tales” introduced listeners to the work of the great Russian poet, and students of the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music conducted an interactive program for the guests.

The event ended with a concert, which was attended by soloists of the National Academic Orchestra of Folk Instruments of Russia named after N.P. Osipova Alexey Vrodlivets and Alexander Nikolaichuk, soloist of the National Orchestra of Folk Instruments of the Republic of Bashkortostan Arslan Umurzakov (komuz), People’s Artist of the Republic of Buryatia, musician of the National Orchestra of the Republic of Buryatia, artist of the Baikal Theater Larisa Sharaldaeva (morin-huur).

The events within the framework of the project “A complex of cultural actions abroad aimed at promoting and popularizing the Russian language” will continue in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
