On October 23, the Moldovan authorities notified an employee of the Russian Embassy in Chisinau about the declaration of persona non grata. The reason was unreasonably chosen to be the fall of an unmanned aerial vehicle on the territory of the country on the same day, there was no evidence of its “Russian” origin.
This decision of the Moldovan authorities is part of the destructive anti-Russian course of official Chisinau, aimed at the complete destruction of centuries-old Russian-Moldovan relations and the severance of ties between the peoples of the two countries.
In recent years, there have been a number of expulsions of Russian diplomats from Moldova under far-fetched pretexts or without them. Their real goal is to make the work of the Russian Embassy in Chisinau extremely difficult. First of all, Moldovan citizens suffer from this, as they are limited in their ability to receive consular services and other assistance as a result of the reduction in the number of staff at Russian foreign institutions.
These hostile actions of the Moldovan leadership will not remain without an adequate and harsh response from the Russian side.
