Hundreds of business representatives will gather in Cape Town from April 10 to 12 for the Tourism Investment Forum Africa (Tifa). This is reported by Pretoria News, a partner of TV BRICS.
The stated objective of the event is to develop business linkages between stakeholders and decision makers in the trade and investment aspects of the tourism ecosystem.
Forum organizer Miller Matola said attracting funds into the tourism industry is bound to create jobs.
“By attracting investment, you promote job creation, but you also ensure inclusive economic growth,” he said.
Miller Matola explained that the sector is mainly small and medium sized companies, hence the development of the tourism industry strengthens the position of such businesses.
