On January 30, State Secretary and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation E.S.Ivanov met with Metropolitan Anthony of Volokolamsk, Chairman of the Moscow Patriarchate’s Department for External Church Relations, at the Reception House of the Russian Foreign Ministry, with the participation of senior staff of the Department and representatives of the Foreign Ministry.
The parties discussed various aspects of church-ministerial cooperation, including joint efforts to protect traditional spiritual and moral values, violations of the rights of believers in various countries of the world, strengthening interfaith dialogue, and issues of support for Russian compatriots living abroad.
