The parties plan to exchange news and video content, as well as other analytical materials in English, Russian, Portuguese and Chinese. Negotiations on cooperation between TV BRICS and Prensa Latina took place within the framework of the InteRussia internship program, organized by the Gorchakov Foundation.

During the meeting, she spoke in detail about the objectives of the agreement Luisa Maria Gonzalez, Vice President of Prensa Latina:

“For Prensa Latina, the agreement contributes to the fulfillment of the main task – to expand our news services. For more than 60 years, the agency has been reporting from our offices around the world, especially from Latin America. We intend to continue doing this with greater objectivity, especially when there is a huge amount of diverse and sometimes contradictory information on the web. This requires us to be more responsible in covering events for the benefit of our countries.”

Marta Andres, editor-in-chief of Prensa Latina, noted that cooperation between agencies is very important for both media because they have similar topics in the selection of materials:

“TV BRICS is useful for us in terms of the possibility of sharing content: all the videos, news that the international network will provide
from different places. Finding the key to your and the audience is very important for us. Such cooperation is fruitful for both media.”

Zhanna Tolstikova, CEO of the international TV BRICS network, stressed the importance of the agreement with Prensa Latina, noting that this is an opportunity for the international network to open Latin America to the BRICS audience:

“The international TV BRICS network is trying to develop cooperation not only in the “five” format, but also in the BRICS+ format. And in this regard, of course, the Prensa Latina agency from Cuba is a very important partner, since it has a long history and is present not only on the continent. The media releases its materials in various languages.”
