On January 7, 2023, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Qatar Hassan Hamza Hashim.
During the talks, the state and prospects for the development of Uzbek-Qatari relations in political, trade and economic, investment, transport and communication, cultural and humanitarian and other spheres were discussed.
Special attention is paid to the interaction of the parties within the framework of the UN, the OIC and other international institutions.
The readiness of Uzbekistan and Qatar to continue joint efforts to advance the peace process in Afghanistan and restore its socio-economic infrastructure was confirmed.
Proposals on the schedule and agenda of upcoming joint events at the highest and highest levels were considered.
