On November 12 in Phnom Penh on the margins of the 17th East Asia Summit, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam Bui Thanh Son.
They exchanged views on a wide range of bilateral issues and discussed further steps to promote Russia-Vietnam comprehensive strategic partnership.
The sides confirmed their close or overlapping positions on major global and regional issues, as well as their willingness to strengthen cooperation at multilateral platforms, including aseanocentric mechanisms.
