Rosenergoatom purchased personal computers under the Beaver brand for potential use in the work of the generating company. This was announced by the press service of the concern on Monday. Now the company from the Electric powerdivision of Rosatom is conducting test tests of new equipment together with experts from JSC “Greenatom”.

“The correct operation of Rosatom’s main centralized systems, such as the unified electronic document management system, is an important element of the transition to domestic processors. Rosenergoatom pays great attention to the stability and security of information systems, so checking new PCs for compliance with industry requirements is an important step in integrating domestic technologies into the Concern’s IT landscape,” said Andrey Lavrov, First Deputy General Director of JSC “Greenatom”.

The Beaver PC is a Russian computer running based on a domestic Baikal-M processor. The Delta Computers product is based on the Astra Linux Special Edition Novorossiysk operating system.

Rosenergoatom positively assesses the prospects for testing domestic computers, noting that the use of its own technologies is especially important in strategic areas of industry.

“The transition to domestic processors is an important step to ensure the proper level of technological independence in such sensitive strategic areas as the nuclear industry,” said Oleg Shalnov, Director of the Director of the IT Project Managementand Integration Department.
