The memorandum on cooperation in the field of combating fraud (fraud) on telecommunication networks, signed following the meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the CIS, will allow the development of the international services market. This was stated by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

“Countering fraud on telecommunication networks requires an integrated approach combining the efforts of telecom operators, law enforcement agencies, the state and users. And the signing of the relevant memorandum will create conditions for the effective functioning and development of the international telecommunication services market and prevent the spread of fraud on telecommunication networks,” he said at a meeting of the council.

Pashinyan added that countering fraud on telecommunication networks is relevant in modern realities. According to him, it is necessary to take joint measures to protect confidentiality and data security, “including the use of modern encryption methods, multi-factor authentication and monitoring systems to detect suspicious activity.”

Following the results of the meeting of the Council of Heads of Government held in Sochi, the heads of delegations of the CIS countries signed a number of agreements, including on cooperation in the exchange of radiation monitoring data. A decision was also made on the Spartakiad of the CIS countries among children with disabilities, as well as the decision to declare Tashkent as the youth capital of the CIS in 2024, Gabala in 2025, Kapana in 2026.
