Belarus presented its scientific and technical developments at the international exhibition of cooperative projects “Eurasia is Our Home”, which takes place on June 7-9 in Sochi at the Sirius Science and Art Park. This was reported to BelTA by Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Science and Technology Tatyana Stolyarova.

The exhibition “Eurasia is our Home” is timed to coincide with the meetings of the Council of Heads of Government of the CIS and the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council. It is dedicated to achievements in the development of cooperation and economic ties. About 7 thousand square meters have been allocated for the exhibition, most of which are indoor and about 2 thousand square meters are on the street. Not only CIS countries are invited to participate in the exhibition, but also China, Egypt, India, Indonesia, the UAE, Mongolia and Cuba.

“The Belarusian scientific and technical section is presented at the exhibition in the cluster “Science and Education”, organized by the SCNT. 9 organizations will present their achievements, 4 of them are leading universities (BSU, BNTU, BSUIR and Polessky State University), 4 are institutes of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (Joint Institute of Computer Science Problems, Joint Institute of Mechanical Engineering, Stepanov Institute of Physics and UP “Geoinformation Systems”), as well as a resident of the industrial park “Veliky kamen” JSC “Aviation Technologies and complexes”, – said Tatiana Stolyarova.

41 developments of domestic scientists in five areas are presented to the visitors of the exhibition: IT technologies; aerospace technologies; electric transport, instrument making; agro-industrial complex; healthcare, pharmacy, medicine.

The exhibition demonstrates joint projects in the framework of industrial cooperation with Russian partners. Among them are the A60-X agrodron, a mock-up of the Russian-Belarusian Earth remote sensing spacecraft, a set of electronic modules of the traction battery control system of electric vehicles, a cluster personal supercomputer “OIPI-OFFICE”, an electrostatic jet microdrive, a hybrid processing center.

In addition, laser medical equipment, anticancer drugs developed by BSU, stent grafts, vascular and endoprostheses developed by BNTU, as well as software and hardware complexes for electromagnetic compatibility of radioelectronic devices are presented.

As noted by Tatiana Stolyarova, the SCNT annually organizes more than 10 Belarusian scientific and technical expositions at major international exhibitions. The geography is wide: these are the CIS countries, Southeast Asia, Africa, Latin America and the countries of the Middle East. Organizations representing university and academic science, as well as residents of technoparks, mainly take part.

“For Belarusian organizations, participation in such exhibition events provides an opportunity to enter new ranks of high-tech and high-tech products, and is also an effective tool for demonstrating developments and attracting partners, buyers and investors. To confirm my words, I will say that in 2022 we presented the best domestic developments at 15 international exhibitions. As a result of participation in exhibitions in 2022, Belarusian scientific and innovative organizations signed 168 contracts totaling more than $15 million,” Tatyana Stolyarova drew attention.

When preparing exhibition events, SCNT pays great attention to the selection of demonstrated developments and improving the effectiveness of exhibitor participation. In the process of forming a list of exhibits for each specific exhibition, the specifics and technological needs of the region are taken into account first of all, and the potential competitiveness of products is evaluated.
