On June 17, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met with President of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation Rustam Minnikhanov in the village of Agaly, Zangilan district.
According to the Report, speaking at the meeting, President Ilham Aliyev said:
“Dear Rustam Nurgalievich, welcome again. I am very glad to meet you again. Of course, today the opening of the joint center is a landmark event. But our communication with you is even more important. I always remember our meetings in Kazan and Baku with warmth. I am glad that everything that we have outlined is being implemented, including the first facility of the Araz Valley Industrial Park, which is an object of fraternal Tatarstan. So we are very grateful for this attitude to the restoration of territories and, of course, we hope that the cooperation program that we have outlined will be fully implemented.
We have already exchanged delegations who came to hold consultations and have already made decisions on further plans. There are great prospects, of course, in industrial cooperation, energy, and the oil and gas sector. Naturally, a huge layer is cultural cooperation. The peoples of Tatarstan and Azerbaijan have maintained fraternal, friendly relations for centuries. And, of course, the relations between us are also a significant contribution to the strengthening of friendly, allied relations between Russia and Azerbaijan, which are also developing very efficiently and dynamically. Also, at the interstate level, we are implementing everything that we plan.
So welcome again and I wish you a pleasant stay here, in Jabrayil and Zangilan, and tomorrow in Baku.”
