Customs officers of the CIS countries discussed issues related to the detection and suppression of crimes

The 23rd meeting of the Committee of Heads of Law Enforcement Units of the Council of Heads of Customs Services of the CIS member States was held in the city of Cholpon-Ata (Kyrgyzstan). About this sb.by reported to the SCC.

The event was attended by representatives of the customs services of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.

The agenda includes consideration of ten issues related to the detection and suppression of crimes and offenses in the customs sphere, the organization of events and cooperation to combat the illegal movement of certain goods, law enforcement practice of considering applications for crimes related to the smuggling of goods, and the investigation of criminal cases on such facts.

Based on the results of the work, representatives of law enforcement units of the customs services agreed on draft decisions of the 23rd meeting of the Committee of Heads of Law Enforcement Units of the Council of Heads of Customs Services of the CIS member States. Working group plans and training programs have been approved.
