Dear Alexander Grigorievich,

Many thanks for the invitation and for the initiative of the High-level International Conference “Eurasian Security: Reality and Prospects in a Transforming World”. This is more relevant now than ever: Europe, under the dictation of the Americans, decided to “break up” into two camps, given to us by God and history, a single, huge, largest and richest continent in natural resources. It was the same in the Soviet era and the Cold War. But even then, economic ties were not interrupted. Now, under pressure from Washington, Europe is going to direct losses.

Hungarian Foreign Minister P. Siyarto spoke at the Conference today. He bluntly said that in Europe energy is five times more expensive than in the United States. Deindustrialization and transfer of production are being carried out. This was one of the tasks of the Americans – to weaken Europe, not to give an opportunity to “straighten their shoulders” economically and become independent.

An extremely relevant topic. Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus S.F. Aleynik stressed our openness to cooperation with everyone, but equally and honestly. The Hungarian Minister P. Siyarto said the same thing. I noted that we do not close the doors to these processes for anyone. But if Europe now prefers to isolate itself, then we will have to move from the “division of labor” to the independent, sovereign creation of everything that we need for development and security.

If and when they come to their senses and realize that they are depriving themselves of mutually beneficial economic prospects and come back, then we will see with all those who will cooperate in our integration structures what ideas they will come up with.
