President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who arrived in Tashkent to attend the summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization, the press service of the head of state reports.
The sides discussed the prospects for expanding bilateral relations, increasing mutual contacts and trade turnover.”The importance of accelerating joint projects and programs in the fields of trade, industry, innovation, energy, transport, education, culture, tourism and others was emphasized,” the press service reports.In addition, the presidents discussed the schedule of upcoming events, including preparations for the meeting of the Uzbek-Turkish Strategic Cooperation Council, and also exchanged views on topical issues of the regional and international agenda.
