Summer Paralympic Games “We are together. Sport” brought together more than 4,500 participants from 82 regions of Russia. Athletes competed for 474 sets of awards in 22 sports according to the program of the XVII Paralympic Summer Games 2024 in Paris.
The program includes competitions in rowing, badminton, wheelchair basketball, bocce, cycling (track and highway), sitting volleyball, kayaking and canoeing, goalball, judo, equestrian sports, athletics, table tennis, powerlifting, swimming, bullet shooting, wheelchair rugby, archery, wheelchair tennis, triathlon, taekwondo, wheelchair fencing, 5×5 soccer.
Athletes from 76 subjects of the Russian Federation became winners or prize-winners of competitions.
At the Games, five world records were set in the sport of persons with an ODE defeat. One of the heroes was Tokyo 2020 Paralympic champion Evgeny Torsunov from Perm Krai, who exceeded the world record in long jump (T36) – 5.97. Another athlete Musa Taymazov from Dagestan, who is also the owner of the “gold” of the Tokyo Paralympic Games, set a world record in club throwing (T51) – 36.22. World record It also belongs to the Tokyo 2020 bronze medalist Evgenia Galaktionova from the Rostov region – in the shot put (F32) she showed a result of 7.83.
In swimming, the world records were surpassed by Anna Ivanova from the Altai Territory (200 m freestyle (S2) – 4:38.75) and Diana Koltsova from the Omsk region (150 m complex (SM2) – 4:12.33).
14 European records and 50 Russian records were also set at the Games.
Earlier, the International Paralympic Committee included athletics and swimming competitions held as part of the Summer Paralympic Games “We are Together. Sport”, in the international calendar of competitions. The results of Russian athletes and swimmers at the Games were included in the IPC rating, according to which the qualification for participation in the XVII Paralympic Summer Games 2024 in Paris takes place. The rating includes 160 results from athletics competitions and the results of 56 Russian swimmers.

Summer Paralympic Games “We are together. Sports” were held for six months on the territory of 14 subjects of the Russian Federation. The competitions were hosted by Moscow and St. Petersburg, the Republics of Bashkortostan, Dagestan, Mordovia, Tatarstan, Udmurtia and Chuvashia, Krasnodar Krai, Kurgan, Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod, Saratov and Tula regions.
The organizers of the large-scale event were the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation, the Russian Paralympic Committee, All-Russian federations for adaptive sports.
