We are ready to present the best Russian regulatory practices, standards and solutions in the field of tourism in order to achieve a similar level of service in Russia and Tajikistan. Dmitry Volvach, Deputy Minister of Economic Development of Russia, said this following the talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Tajik President Emomali Rahmon in Moscow.

He also noted that Russia is ready to help partners from Tajikistan launch a comprehensive program in our country to promote domestic tourism products on the Russian market for the full disclosure of the tourism potential of Dushanbe.

“Every week, about 200 flights to Tajikistan are made from 14 Russian cities,” Dmitry Volvach cited the data. “Tajikistan is on the list of countries that have access to the “Tourist Card” – a mechanism for foreign tourists to make non–cash payments on the territory of Russia. Tajikistan’s tourism business circles are increasingly connecting to Russian digital booking systems, and the roadmap adopted this year to expand Russian-Tajik tourism cooperation allows increasing the awareness of tour operators and tourists’ interest in the tourist opportunities of the two countries.”

The Deputy Head of the department stressed that such advantages as high mountains, clear rivers and environmentally friendly food are becoming an additional factor in attracting Russian tourists to Tajikistan. “Active types of tourism, including extreme sports, are of particular interest in this part. Such areas as trekking, hiking and rafting are rapidly increasing the number of their supporters. And all this can be found in the Pamir Mountains, in Tajikistan,” he said.
