The first forum-exhibition of new materials and technologies – AMTEXPO (Advanced Materials And Technologies) was held in the Lomonosov cluster with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia.
At the plenary session of the forum, “New Materials and technologies – a look into the future”, the participants noted the importance of developing the direction of new materials and technologies to increase the competitiveness of traditional and new industries. Thus, the use of durable and lightweight composite materials made it possible to create a wing of the MS-21 passenger aircraft with unique aerodynamic characteristics that are unattainable for a metal wing.
The representative of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia noted that determining the vector of development of the most high-tech industries, where new materials and technologies are used, is of great importance for the formation of technological sovereignty of the country.
As part of the business program of the forum, 16 panel discussions were held, where the main materials and directions of the roadmap “Technologies of new materials and substances” were discussed: composites, polymers, additive technologies, rare and rare earth materials, digital materials science, as well as the introduction of new materials into industry: aircraft, transport, construction, medicine, energy.
At the exhibition as part of the stand The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia presented a unique exposition of full-scale images made using new materials and technologies in various industries: elements of mechanization of the composite wing of the MS-21 liner, engine components made by additive manufacturing, a bicycle with a carbon frame, composite fabrics with 3D weaving, carbon components of the car, polymer pipes for housing and communal services and oil production, lightweight polymer concretes, wagon trim elements, SkyStreamWing drone for work in Arctic conditions, The Aurus motorcycle with a lightweight composite body, a sample of a composite wind blade and many other exhibits and samples of innovative equipment developed in Russia.
The best projects in the field of new materials and technologies were awarded at the AMTEXPO AWARDS ceremony. In total, 27 applications from 20 Russian companies were received for the competition.
The exhibition and business program events were attended by more than 1,000 people. According to the participants, “AMTEXPO 2023” has become a promising platform for information exchange between representatives of federal executive authorities, industry associations, scientific and educational organizations and Russian high-tech industrial enterprises producing modern materials, finished products and equipment. Potential consumers from various industries also showed interest in AMTEXPO: aircraft construction, construction industry, transport engineering, energy, oil and gas complex, radio electronics, etc.
