Nikolay Shulginov and Minister of Energy of the Republic of Belarus Viktor Karankevich signed a Protocol on amendments and additions to the Agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Republic of Belarus on some measures to ensure parallel operation of the Unified Energy System of the Republic of Belarus and the Unified Energy System of the Russian Federation.
“The protocol defines the procedure for emergency mutual assistance of the power systems of Russia and Belarus. That is, if there are insufficient own generation reserves, one side will be able to get help from the power system of the second side. Our joint task is to improve the safety and reliability of parallel operation of power systems,” Nikolai Shulginov explained.
The signing ceremony took place in the pavilion of the Ministry of Energy of Russia No. 46 “Energy of Life” of the International Exhibition-Forum “Russia”.
