The value of Russian choreographic education is becoming increasingly evident in the global ballet community. This was once again confirmed in Japan, where, at the invitation of the President and directors of the Japan Dance Research Academy (DSA), Elena Andrienko, Associate Professor of the GITIS Choreography Department, Honored Artist of Russia, conducted a master class and classes on dance teaching methodology.

The event for DSA students and teachers, as well as representatives of classical dance and various schools in Japan was held within the framework of the cooperation agreement between GITIS and the Academy, as well as the Priority 2030 strategic academic leadership program.

The participants of the master classes were very young students of the Japan Dance Research Academy (DSA), who are just starting their way in ballet.

Teachers from all over Japan also took part in classes on dance teaching methodology. They noted not only the level of complexity, but also the natural perfection of methodological developments and training programs for classical dance in Russia.

Master classes and classes on teaching methodology became a bright and large-scale event for choreographers in Japan, who expressed hope for further cooperation between Russia and Japan in the field of choreographic education, which contributes to strengthening cultural relations between the two countries.
