On December 8, 2023, in Bishkek, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Avazbek Atakhanov received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Kuwait to the Kyrgyz Republic with residence in Astana Omar Ahmed Al-Kandari.
During the meeting, Deputy Minister A.Atakhanov shared his opinion on key issues on the agenda of Kyrgyz-Kuwaiti cooperation, noting the need to organize mutual visits at high and top levels, as well as joint events to strengthen the political dialogue between the two countries.
In order to strengthen the political dialogue, the parties agreed to hold political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the two countries in the near future.
In addition, the importance of expanding cooperation between the two countries in the trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres was stressed, in connection with which issues of implementing joint trade, economic and investment projects between the Kyrgyz Republic and the State of Kuwait were discussed.
In turn, Ambassador O. Al-Kandari thanked Deputy Minister A.Atakhanov for the warm welcome, noting that he would make the necessary efforts to bring Kyrgyz-Kuwaiti fraternal relations to a higher level.
