The leaders of the CIS countries began their joint excursions with a visit to the Pavlovsk State Museum-Reserve, where they examined the halls and expositions of the Pavlovsk Palace. The concert “Northern Symphony” was organized for the guests of honor in the amphitheater of the Greek Hall of the palace complex. The Museum-Reserve is a unique example of Russian architecture of the late XVIII century. The key detail of the ensemble is considered to be the Pavlovsky Palace, which is a monument of cultural heritage and is protected by UNESCO.

Then the heads of state visited the Tsarskoye Selo Museum-Reserve and toured the halls of the Catherine Palace. The Tsarskoye Selo Palace and Park Ensemble is a recognized masterpiece of architecture and landscape art of the XVIII – early XX centuries. The former summer residence of the Russian emperors is one of their most visited museums in Russia, which was visited by 2.9 million people in 2022. The Catherine Palace, which is the central object of Tsarskoye Selo, houses the legendary Amber Room.

The third point of the tour was the Grand Peterhof Palace of the Peterhof State Museum-Reserve.
The heads of the delegations visited the halls of the unique architectural monument, filled with objects of decorative and applied art, works of sculpture and painting. The Peterhof Museum-Reserve consists of 33 museums, 414 hectares of parks and gardens, and more than 150 fountains. The uniqueness of the fountain system as a monument of history and culture is the absence of pumping stations. As 300 years ago, thanks to engineering, water flows due to the natural height difference between the elevation and the level at which the fountains are located. That is why the Peterhof fountains are open every day from morning to evening from the end of April to the middle of October.
