During the telephone conversation, Vladimir Putin warmly congratulated President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on his convincing victory in the early presidential elections and wished him new successes in his work at such a high state post.
The mutual interest in the further development of the Russian-Azerbaijani strategic partnership and alliance was confirmed. It was agreed to continue personal contacts.
A congratulatory telegram has also been sent to Ilham Aliyev.
