On March 28, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation M.Y.Galuzin held a meeting with the heads of the national delegations at the International Geneva Discussions on Security and Stability in the Transcaucasus (GJD) State Advisor to the President of the Republic of South Ossetia K.K.Kochiev and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia I.V.Tujba.
The intention to continue coordinated efforts to promote common priorities during the forthcoming next round of the IWD in April with a focus on ensuring lasting security for Abkhazia and South Ossetia was noted. In order to increase stability and predictability in the border area, the need to develop legally binding guarantees of non-use of force by Tbilisi with regard to Sukhum and Tskhinval and to start the process of delimitation of the Georgian-Abkhaz and Georgian-South Ossetian State borders with their subsequent demarcation was emphasized.
