On April 8, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Vershinin received Ambassador of the Algerian People’s Democratic Republic in Moscow Boumediene Gennade at his request.
During the conversation, a number of conflicts on the agenda of the UN Security Council in the Middle East, North Africa and the Sahara-Sahel region, including the problems of the Western Sahara settlement, were considered.
The importance of further close cooperation between Russia and Algeria in the UN was emphasized, taking into account the proximity of the positions of the two countries in key areas of modern international relations.
