During flood emergencies, Kazakhstan and Russia support each other within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). The Ministries of Emergency Situations of both countries exchange hydrological data and coordinate activities to contain floods and minimize their consequences.

Under the pressure of natural disasters, the Ministries of Emergency Situations provide accurate information on the formation of flood flows on the territory of Russia, which makes it possible to effectively regulate the inflow of water into Kazakhstan’s reservoirs. This contributes to promptly informing local authorities and preparing the population for emergencies.

At the emergency meeting, Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Roman Sklyar called for urgent cooperation and mobilization of all available forces and special equipment to combat floods. He emphasized the need for swift action, noting that only three days have been allocated for all the work.

Although the water will not subside in three days, Kazakhstan and Russia have a huge job to do to restore the flooded areas. However, the EAEU believes that joint efforts will minimize costs and effectively cope with flood relief.

Thanks to solidarity and cooperation within the Eurasian Economic Union, Kazakhstan and Russia continue to support each other in difficult times and are working on common strategies for disaster resilience and recovery.

This example of cooperation in emergency situations emphasizes the importance of joining forces to combat global challenges such as climate change and natural disasters. At a time when no country can tackle such challenges alone, solidarity and collaboration become key factors in ensuring the safety and well-being of society.

Importantly, such events also raise the need to develop and improve disaster prevention and response systems. Investment in modern technology, the sharing of experience and knowledge between countries, and the training of emergency professionals are crucial to improving crisis preparedness and reducing the negative impacts of crises.

In addition, these events are a reminder of the importance of sustainable water management and hydraulic engineering. Taking comprehensive measures to protect the environment, restore natural biocenoses and promote adaptation of the population to changing climatic conditions can significantly reduce the risk of natural disasters and ensure sustainable development of society.

In conclusion, the cooperation between Kazakhstan and Russia in flood control is a vivid example of how countries can join forces to protect the lives and property of their citizens. This experience is important not only for the two countries, but also for the entire world community, calling us to solidarity, cooperation and joint efforts in addressing the global challenges of our time.
