On May 2, 2024, in Makhachkala (Republic of Dagestan, Russian Federation), with the support of the Ministry of Road Management and Transport of the Republic of Dagestan, the Intergovernmental Council of Road Workers and the CIS Executive Committee, an international scientific and practical conference “The state, problems and prospects of development of highways of the Russian Federation” was held. The conference was held at the site of the Makhachkala branch of the Moscow Automobile and Road Engineering State Technical University.
The scientific and practical conference was attended by a representative of the CIS Executive Committee – Deputy Head of the Department of Economic Cooperation Ekaterina V. Muravkina, as well as representatives of road administrations and leading road organizations, research and educational institutions of the CIS member states.
The event was organized by the Ministry of Road Management and Transport of the Republic of Dagestan and the Intergovernmental Council of Road Workers.
Chairman of the Intergovernmental Council of Road Builders Karimov Buri Bachabekovich opened the conference with welcoming words.
The conference was attended by representatives of the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Islamic Republic of Iran, as well as scientific research and educational institutions of the CIS member states.
During the conference, the participants discussed issues on the state and development of the international North–South transport corridor, on the state, problems and prospects of development of the road sector of the Republic of Dagestan, on the design of the construction of durable roadways, on the innovative model of functioning of the road industry, as well as the state, problems and prospects of development of the road industry and transport of the North Caucasus the region and other issues.
Following the results of the international scientific and practical conference “The state, problems and prospects of development of highways of the Russian Federation”, a resolution was adopted.
