The Ministry of Culture and Information of Kazakhstan has launched the portal batyrlargatagzym.kz, which has data on more than 100 thousand Kazakhstanis – veterans of the Great Patriotic War.
The main page of the site says that the portal is dedicated to searching and linking with veterans of the Great Patriotic War. The mission is to preserve and convey the history, memory and heroism of those who fought for the Motherland.
“Use our database to search for veterans, share stories and create intergenerational connections. Let’s honor the feat of our heroes together and preserve their heritage for future generations,” the authors report.
According to the Ministry of Culture and Information, the portal contains information about more than 100,000 veterans of Kazakhstan. The site indicates that you can find out about the fate of 577401 heroes.
“We invite every citizen of Kazakhstan to contribute to the project by supplementing information about veterans. Everyone can help the project in supplementing the site by transferring preserved documents from personal family archives for copying. These can be photos, documents, letters from the front and other materials,” the Ministry of Culture of the country reported.
