On May 24, the Council of Heads of Government of the Commonwealth of Independent States will begin its work in Ashgabat. There are 12 issues on the agenda. CIS Secretary General Sergey Lebedev spoke about some of them in an exclusive interview with MIR 24.
“We have two main issues on which the responsible heads of ministries and departments from the CIS countries will speak. This is the concept of cooperation in the energy sector. I would like to draw your attention to the period up to 2035. And there is also an action plan for cooperation in the field of transport, improvement of transport corridors for the period up to 2030. I would like to draw attention to the completion dates of these plans and these documents – the 35th and 30th years. This confirms that the Commonwealth countries are looking far ahead,” said CIS Secretary General Sergei Lebedev.
