The second international festival “Feat of Arms — spiritual feat” ended in Brest. This year marks the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders. “It is symbolic that our festival ends in a place of strength, drenched in the blood of defenders of the Fatherland’s borders. Being here, you feel the living connection of generations. The heroism of the defenders of the Brest Fortress provides an example of indomitable courage and faith in the victory of good over evil. This confirms the live direct participation of the audience in the program of the festival “Feat of Arms — spiritual Feat”,” said Alexey Puzakov, artistic director of the festival and chief conductor of the Moscow Synodal Choir. The concerts were held in Brest Fortress and the Regional Palace of Culture of Trade Unions. Musicians from the three hero cities of Moscow, Minsk and Brest presented a program of spiritual, folk music and works by modern Donetsk composers. The concerts were attended by the Lyudmila Zykina State Ensemble Rossiya, the All-Holy Men’s Choir from Minsk, the choir of the clergy of the Brest Diocese, the Belaya Vezha Choir of the Brest Technical University and soloist Maria Legusova. The events were held with the blessing of His Eminence Archbishop John of Brest and Kobrin. The concert was attended by the Consul-Adviser of the Russian Federation in Brest Andrey Kulikov.
