The project of a new international popular song contest was presented at the IX St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum
Tajikistan plans to take part in the first television music competition “Intervision” in Moscow.
This was announced by Mikhail Shvydkoi, Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for International Cultural Cooperation, during a visit to Dushanbe.
“Today we received information that our invitation to Tajikistan has been positively considered. Tajikistan will participate in the Intervision,” he said.
Shvydkoi noted that he plans to send the edited regulations on the competition to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic.
Earlier, Shvydkoi reported that the competition is expected to be held in early 2025 in Moscow. The project of a new international popular song contest was presented at the IX St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum – the Forum of United Cultures.
Konstantin Ernst, General Director of Channel One, came up with the idea of creating such a competition. Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed an order according to which the government of the Russian Federation will allocate 600 million rubles for the holding of the Intervision competition.
