Minister of Industry and Agro-Industrial Complex of the Eurasian Economic Commission Gohar Barseghyan took part in the opening of the international specialized trade and industrial exhibition “MVC: Grain-Feed-Veterinary Medicine-2024” in Moscow.
The EEC Minister noted the importance of this platform for demonstrating the achievements of technological transformation of the basic branches of agriculture and the search for effective mechanisms of interaction in the Eurasian space in order to increase production, trade in agricultural products with high added value and increase the competitiveness of the industry.
A round table was held within the framework of the exhibition, where representatives of public administration bodies, scientific organizations, business unions and associations, companies in the field of livestock breeding in the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union, as well as the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations discussed ways and mechanisms of interstate cooperation. The parties agreed that close cooperation in this area will help to increase the efficiency of breeding work in the EAEU countries based on the best international practices and domestic experience.
“The proposals of the participants of the round table make it possible to develop coordinated decisions of the EAEU states on deepening integration in the field of livestock breeding: the introduction of innovative technologies and genomic selection at the Commission’s site,” Gohar Barseghyan summed up.
“MVC: Grain-Feed-Veterinary Medicine-2024” is an international specialized trade and industrial exhibition of grain processing, feed and veterinary industries.
