Vladislav Demin, a Russian actor, martial artist, author and performer of songs, celebrates his birthday on June 22. In addition, Vladislav is the creator of the psychological one-man show “TWO”, which combines elements of tragicomedy with deep drama. The project is supported by the Presidential Foundation for Cultural Initiatives.
The story of Vladislav and Angela’s family is a story of love and mutual understanding that inspires not only themselves, but also their fans.
The story of their love resembles the plot of a romantic film: one day Vladislav went to a morning lecture at GITIS and saw her on the way. His life has changed since then. Angela was wearing headphones and did not immediately notice him. Vladislav persevered and got the girl’s attention: he approached her and insisted on exchanging phone numbers. That’s how their meeting became the beginning of a wonderful union.
“I saw Angela out of the corner of my eye, followed her, and immediately asked for a phone number. I thought he would cheat, he wouldn’t give me a phone. Then I immediately said: “Here I am writing down the number, and call me back right now.” I waited for her number to light up. And that’s it, and she sailed for life now,” Vladislav explained the acquaintance.
Angela sees family as a strong union based on mutual understanding, respect and trust. She believes that family is the ability to give in and support each other. Vladislav complements her thoughts, noting that family is his Homeland, the beginning of all beginnings: “For me, family is my ancestors. My small homeland, where I was born.” He believes that the family is the starting point where values and traditions are laid.
Vladislav and Angela recently celebrated a crystal wedding, and during their life together they have learned to support each other in everything. “We have been together for 15 years, and every day we discover something new in each other,” Vladislav shares. Their relationship has passed the test of time and has become even stronger thanks to mutual support and respect.
“Family is like puzzles, and in order for them to match, they must first be wiped with a file, knocked down somewhere, hammered,” says Vladislav, emphasizing the importance of work and patience in creating harmonious relationships.
The family not only supports Vladislav in his endeavors, but also inspires him to create. Any emotions that arise in the family, whether joy or sorrow, are reflected in his poems and songs. One day, after a quarrel with his wife, he wrote the song “Two Hearts”, which became a favorite for Angela, as it was dedicated to their love and union.
“Both a good situation in the family and a bad one, and any troubles and sorrows provoke the release of emotions. They come out through poetry,” Vladislav shared.
Demins do not impose their desires on children, giving them the opportunity to choose their own path. Daria, their eldest daughter, found herself in equestrian sports, although she had previously tried gymnastics, dancing and music. The youngest daughter, Victoria, is still small, enjoying childhood, painting, singing. Parents try to support the interests of their daughters in every possible way.
“We have learned from experience that what we want does not always coincide with the desires of our children. Of course, we direct them, but we don’t set clear boundaries, we give them a little freedom,” Angela shared the secrets of family education.
Vladislav and Angela are convinced that the key to a happy family life is the ability to listen and respect each other. They advise young people to be able to sacrifice their interests for the sake of a partner. “You shouldn’t be fixated on yourself. We’re all self-centered, one way or another. And relationships just mean that you press your egocentricity and give your soulmate the opportunity to become one with you. This is very important,” Vladislav believes. “Appreciate each other, because love is the most important thing, and probably the only thing that can save and strengthen us,” he concludes.
The story of the Demin family is a vivid example of how love, mutual understanding and support can become the foundation for personal and professional success. Their life path, filled with creativity and family values, serves as inspiration for many and confirms that a real family is not just a unit of society, but a source of strength.
The special project of the Presidential Foundation for Cultural Initiatives “Family in Culture” is a media project dedicated to the Year of the Family and designed to inspire viewers to reflect on their own attitude to family and family values, as well as provide them with examples of positive family relationships and support for each other.
