June 23 is a single professional holiday for all civil servants of the world. Kazakh police officers also celebrate their professional holiday on the same day.

President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev congratulated civil servants on their professional holiday.
The head of state published a congratulatory post on the Day of the Civil Servant on his Facebook page (formerly Twitter – Sputnik.).

“Congratulations to civil servants on their professional holiday! You have a key role to play in building a Fair Kazakhstan. You must always proceed from the interests of the state and society, be proactive, responsible and result-oriented. “I wish you success in your work!” Tokayev wrote.

June 23 is the Day of the Civil Servant in Kazakhstan and the world. In 2002, at the session of the UN General Assembly, a resolution was adopted on the proclamation of June 23 as the UN Public Service Day. In 2013, by decree of the first President Nursultan Nazarbayev in Kazakhstan, this day was also approved as the Day of a Civil servant.
The Head of state also congratulated the police officers on their professional holiday.
“Society places a huge responsibility on you and places high demands on you. You must show a model of professionalism and efficiency, conscientious performance of official duties and attentive attitude to people’s problems. It is important that each of you be an example of impeccable honesty, sincere patriotism, and genuine responsible citizenship,” Akorda said in a statement (from Kazakh Belaya Stavka, the official residence of the president – Sputnik).
I am sure that you will continue to promote the principle of “Law and Order” in the country, making an invaluable contribution to building a just state and a harmonious society, the President concluded.
In 1992, the Supreme Council of Kazakhstan adopted the law “On Internal Affairs Bodies of the Republic of Kazakhstan”. It was the first legal act that defined the tasks and functions of the Kazakh police.
In 2007, by decree of the Head of State, June 23 was officially approved as Police Day. Police Day is a sign of gratitude to all those who selflessly created the Kazakh police and work in its ranks. This is an expression of gratitude to its veterans, who have earned the respect of the people by their honest service to their cause. And this is a tribute to the memory of those who gave their lives in peacetime for the sake of peace and security of Kazakhstanis.
