BIP students will receive information about transfer to other educational institutions in the coming weeks, the Ministry of Education reported.
The closure of the university “BIP – University of Law and Socio-Information Technologies” became known at the beginning of this week. It was reported that the activities of the institution will be discontinued from August 30. Students, undergraduates and other students can transfer to other institutions with their consent. The session is currently ending at the university.
As BelTA writes with reference to the Ministry of Education, the process of approving the transfer of students studying in Minsk to BSU, BSUIR, MITSO International University, BSEU, BSPU and other universities is currently underway.
Students of the BIP branch in Mogilev will be able to continue their studies at the Arkady Kuleshov Mogilev State University, and students of the Grodno branch will be able to study at the Yanka Kupala Grodno State University.
Those who do not want to transfer to universities offered by the Ministry of Education will be able to independently choose an institution to continue their studies in their specialty.
“The centralized transfer of personal files of students to institutions of higher education will be carried out during August in accordance with the established procedure,” the press service of the Ministry of Defense noted.
BIP was one of the first non-governmental educational institutions in the republic, the university was opened in 1990. Then it was the Minsk Higher Law School of the Union of Lawyers of the BSSR. In July 1991, the institution was renamed the Belarusian Institute of Law, and in 2021 the university received the status of a university.
