Photo exhibitions “Liberation. The Path to Victory” will open in Minsk and Borisov on July 1.

The basis of the exhibition is made up of footage captured by photojournalists of the Soviet Information Bureau on the territory of the Belarusian SSR during Operation Bagration in 1944. The main focus is on the faces of liberators and civilians who are starting to rebuild a war–torn country.

Thanks to modern media technologies, viewers will not only be able to see rare photos, but also, by clicking on the QR code, listen to episodes of a thematic radio podcast on the liberation of Belarus on their smartphones. The Rossiya Segodnya media group is the legal successor of the Sovinformburo and is represented in Belarus by the Sputnik Belarus news agency and radio, for which the organization of exhibitions on the theme of the Second World War has already become a tradition. The current exhibitions are supported by the Russian Presidential Foundation for Cultural Initiatives, the Belarusian State Pedagogical University, and the Borisov District Executive Committee.

Exhibitions are available in Minsk Victory Park and Borisov Central Library named after I.H. Kolodeev. Later, residents of Vitebsk and guests of the Slavyansky Bazar festival will be able to get acquainted with the exposition.

Sputnik publishes daily Sovinformburo reports on the progress of Operation Bagration. Read the details in the agency’s materials.
